Brainstorming the idea for episode six began sometime mid-season: let’s bring everyone together for one super sunny ski trip around California. A few months later that idea had cultivated into plane tickets, driving directions, and one train ride into Los Angeles to collect as a group and take on California together. What was surely to be the most organized and planned out gathering of eight extremely unorganized individuals turned out to be my all-time favorite trip of the season.
I had met Max Hill once before this trip for less than five minutes, but he doesn’t remember it. Max brought along his friend and fellow Canadian LINE skier Cole Drexler who I have awarded both Traveling Circus trip MVP’s.
The award for my least favorite part of the trip is a tie-breaker between Ian Compton’s ipod that only has two songs on it, or the challenge of filming seven skiers at once. Both of these things were very frustrating for me but thankfully Ian’s ipod broke halfway through the trip.
