Afterbang Art: Jimbo Phillips
The Afterbang‘s art is created by Jimbo Phillips who with his father are responsible for creating skateboarding’s most legendary art since the 1980s. The same guy that created the famous Santa Cruz screaming hand. When we were thinking of who we wanted to design our first skate-deck construction ski, all we could think of was classic 80′s skate art. Who would be more perfect for that look than the legendary Jim and Jimbo Phillips? No one. Luckily it worked out and we were fortunate to have their designs on our Afterbangs!

Being back in Victor NY can be kinda boring, so some times you need to go shoot some guns. Lucky for me an old highschool friend knows a guy with some LEGAL guns. The cops on the way out made sure of that.

Go ‘Work It Out’ at the Premiere!
The guys over at Meathead Films are kicking off their Work It Out Tour right on Friday October 1st in Burlington on the University of Vermont’s campus. With tons of giveaways, a live DJ, poster signings and a legit afterparty that we’re sure you won’t be seeing pictures from on this blog.

Back-to-School TC Art Contest Results
After hours upon hours of intensely studying every microscopic detail of all the art contest entries our panel of highly educated art critics: The Red Knight, Spicy Cat and Ape Man have all come to agree upon an overall victor and some incredibly close “honorable mentions” that were just too awesome to be ignored. A gigantic thank you goes out to everyone who entered the art contest.

So what do you get when you take the best riders from Victoria and NSW and team them with Australia’s most creative videographers, pitting the teams in a State-of-origin battle at Mt Buller. You get SoO Airtime!
SoO AirTime is a series of video-based freeride competitions for the Australian snowfields.
The concept is the brain-child of Watkin and Oscar McLennan. Bolstered by a passion for airtime and an annoyance at the less-than-inspired crop of freeride events in Victoria, they started their own. Enter SoO AirTime 2010 and Open Edit 2010. Each team crafts a video across the three days from Tuesday 31st August til Thursday September 2nd. The vids are posted online. You vote from Sunday September 5th til Friday 17th to decide which State reigns supreme. There are heaps of prizes for voters, so don’t miss the chance to have your say. So watch them below and VOTE HERE!
