For those of you who might not be entirely familiar with Blister Gear Review, the collection of reviewers pride themselves on honest to goodness with their reviews – “the typical BLISTER review is around 1500 words. We will give you our honest opinion, and we will back it up with detailed analysis” boasts the site.

The Best Playful All-Mountain Ski – The Sir Francis Bacon
“For those who like the looser, more forgiving feel of a tail rockered ski, or who want a light and playful ski to trick around the mountain.
Cliff notes version of Jason Hutchins’ reviews of the 184cm and 190cm Bacon: Of all the skis I’ve ridden, I’d call the Bacon the most versatile one-ski quiver option currently available for the playfully-minded, all-mountain skier.”
“The Pandora is a versatile, every day ski for softer snow conditions. For a 110mm underfoot ski, the Pandora still carves nicely on piste, but is an absolute blast in fresh snow, soft chop, and more playful, open terrain.”
“If you’re looking for a powder ski to take out on deep days to search for natural features to spin, flip, and drag, I can’t think of a better ski for the job than the Line Magnum Opus.”
We’re a big fan of their A/B reviews too! – See their recent of the Supernatural 108.
The Tell A Friend Tour is coming! The Tell A Friend Tour is coming!
Don’t know what the Tell A Friend Tour is? Well, we went straight to the source – Andy Parry – to get you all the need-to-know-info!
Read on >>
What is the Tell A Friend Tour, Where is it headed and Who’s going?
Tell A Friend Tour is a freeskiing park tour that travels to resorts film, ski with fans, and then hold a free raffle/pizza party. This year we are visiting resorts in VT, MA, CT, PA, WV, OH, MN, and WI. Ross Imburgia, Charlie Dayton, Ian Compton, Cole Drexler, Allan Lam, and other Line Skis regional riders.
Why? Why create the Tell A Friend Tour?
Over the last seven years of filming Line Traveling Circus, we visited a lot of resorts other people never really go to. A lot of these places had tons of kids that are really into freeskiing but they aren’t really on any ones radar. These skiers are the bread and butter of the ski industry and it only makes sense to bring a ski event directly to them.
TAFT represents what freeskiing was when I started in 2002. Fun, but also serious about progression because your hungry for it. It was about learning a new trick with a bunch of friends and pushing each other because it was fun. None of us really went out of our way to “train” for comps but still competed at local events, and used them for a source of community more then anything. It’s true freeskiing, and that what I want to show the next generation. Not comp skiing, not film skiing – just freeskiing.
With the Traveling Circus, you’ve criss-crossed the country multiple times – What are the top five bits of advice you’d give anyone who’s about to head out on the open road?
1. Need dental floss? Rip a small strand of the elastic out of a sock.
2. Don’t be a tool to fast food. Find a grocery store.
3. Download audio books for long trips.
4. When driving at night place a small dimly lit LED over your head.
5. Avoid drinking things like Monster, RockStar and Redbull All the sugar and other stuff they put in those will just make you crash harder, and feel sick. Slowly sip coffee, and get a 5 hour energy.
What’s your favorite stop?
I’m really looking forward to all the stops. Each one is going to have a different crowd of skiers, and things set up. Can’t really say I have a favorite stop but last year we had the best showing at Ski Sundown, CT and had a really good crew of kids at Butternut, MA.
In 140 characters or less – Why should we go to TAFT?
Come to TAFT to have fun skiing, eat pizza, and win free stuff!
Karl Kristian Muggerud’s 2014 Season
Norwegian Karl Kristian Muggerud has dropped his 2013/14 season for you to enjoy! KKM’s got a unique style that flows seamlessly from pow to park to spring corn snow. We definitely nominate his edit for today’s must watch!
TC 7.3 – That’s Different
ROADTRIP! The Traveling Circus embarks on another epic journey – err, maybe not! The crew runs into van trouble, which leaves them and their travel plans stuck in neutral. Will they ever be able to leave Utah? With some quick internet-ing, their plans are up in the air, literally!
The TC Crew’s last minute scrambling lands them in the mid-west where they find rope-tows, road-kill and roller-coasters. Watch this episode and you’ll surely be saying, “That’s Different.”
“Why’d you take your socks off?” – Will
“I had ‘em on since yesterday and they’re my ski socks…so it was like, itchy.” – Andy
ABOUT LINE TRAVELING CIRCUS:
Admission is free! No high-end production crews, annual movie sales, snowmobiles or AK heli trips here. Powered by more creativity, ingenuity and hyperactivity than a 3rd grade art class, this band of misfit skiers is led by die-hard ski bums Will Wesson and Andy Parry. Criss-crossing the globe in search of angled surfaces to ski on, the Traveling Circus is part reality TV, part ski bumming. For comedy, adventure and skiing antics that prove truth is more entertaining than fiction make sure not to miss an episode. Every online webisode is watched hundreds of thousands of times by skiers around the world. This is the reason why the International Freeskiing Film Festival (IF3) presented the Line Traveling Circus with the first-ever “Best Webisode” award in 2010 and 2011. 3,000,000 views and counting!

Cole Drexler’s 2014 Season Edit
Cole Drexler, the 23 year old Collingwood, ON native has released his 2014 self edit and it is 5:04 minutes of 100% Canadian skiing! Join him for a journey across the globe in search of things to ski – mountains, hills, playground slides …
Don’t know Cole? Where have you been? Here’s a few things you might not know:
He loves llamas, Van Morrison & his girl. He hates Nickleback, the Boston Bruins & serious people. Seriously.
We chatted with him briefly to get a few more in-depth answers. Read more below!
1. Going to Japan for the second time with the Traveling Circus squad.
2. Filming for “Meanwhile in Canada” with Rob Heule, Mack Jones, Jay Heule, and Graeme Meiklejohn in Toronto.
3. The Outdoor Tech. team trip to Mammoth Mtn. in the spring – the best place to end the season.
4. One of the longest winters that I’ve ever had in Ontario – Blue Mtn., was open until the end of April.
5. Drake’s beautiful compact-disc that was titled, “Nothing Was the Same”
LAST SEASON, I WASN’T EXCITED ABOUT THESE 3 THINGS:
1. Being in school all winter.
2. Falling hard on my back three separate times in Japan, and missing a couple days on snow.
3. Not winning the Olympics.
I PREFER (DOGS OR CATS): Dogs for sure. Cats suck.
WHEN I GO TO THE OSCARS, MY CELEBRITY DATE WILL BE Jennifer Lawrence BECAUSE she’s a babe who likes pizza and she has a crush on me.
I DO NOT LIKE not having Drake ON MY iPod at all times.
I LIKE THE BOSTON BRUINS BECAUSE I hate every Boston’s sports team with a passion and the Bruins can suck it.
IF I SANG COUNTRY, MY BAND NAME WOULD BE The Brothers Too Turnt.
I THINK grabbing your skis on rails IS OVERRATED unless you’re Phil or Henrik and can actually make it look nice.
I THINK Jarred McCarl IS UNDERRATED BECAUSE he’s got a fresh outlook on skiing and he’s always in a good mood. Be on the look out for that name this winter.
ON NEWSCHOOLERS, I send nudes to all the pro’s.
WRITE A HAIKU ABOUT THE LAST TIME YOU WENT SKIING:
The sun is beaming
It Is the middle of May
And I’m still skiing
YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW THAT I’M allergic to brewing yeast and can’t drink beer.
IF I WENT TO THE OLYMPICS, IT’D BE FOR speed walking.
