Burrrlapz wins WSSF
Brody McSkimming (L) and Dylan Siggers (R) hold it down for Burrrlapz in WSSF.

Those Burrrlapz Nerds are Now 10,000 Dollars Richer!

Can you believe it? The dark horse squad of two plank shredders hailing from Fernie, British Columbia put it all together and won “Intersection!”

But what exactly is “Intersection”? For the uninitiated, it’s a film contest that takes place during the Whistler Ski and Snowboard Festival, a raucous affair held at the end of April. Various production crews band together, head north, and are given seven days to produce an entire edit shot within 100 Kilometers of Whistler. With 10 Grand on the line, it seems like a no-brainer. Who wouldn’t put their name in the ring?

Sounds fun, right? WRONG. It’s serious business. LIKE REALLY SERIOUS BUSINESS. And our boys took home the win this year. That’s a lot of toonies for the rag-tag group of skids from the North Country.

So without further explanation from a desk jockey living vicariously through these rippin’ freaks, check out the Burrrlapz Intersection Entry. It’ll make you laugh, make you cry, and make you wonder how exactly Dylan Siggers can hit park jumps switch on Pescados.
