Closing Day Burrrlapzing!
Meanwhile In Canada – A Film by Graeme Meiklejohn & Rob Heule
“Join skiers Rob Heule, Mack Jones and Jay Heule as they set out on a 40 day cross-Canada RV trip with one goal: to explore their home country while hitting as many street spots as possible along the way. As the eyes of the skiing world were on the Winter Olympics, the boys were out adventuring with the aim of showing that with a little creativity, fun can be had on skis just about anywhere. With an all-Canadian soundtrack, crew, and itinerary, watch as they venture from the shores of Pacific Ocean all the way to the Atlantic.”
Watch Meanwhile In Canada below!
Deep from the woods of Fernie, 17 year old Dylan Siggers is carving out a reputation as one of the best young freeskiers in Canada. Take some time, read his words and see his stoke inspiring edits.
Tell us about skiing at your home mountain where you started skiing and where you ski today. Skiing in Fernie is amazing. The hill has almost everything there is to offer. Rails, cliffs, tree skiing, outrageous pow days, The only thing we don’t have is park jumps, so we end up with a lot of cutouts/side booters
How did you get into skiing? My parents were skiers and I started as soon as i could walk, sliding around in the back yard with little tiny skis.
Why do you ski? Skiing is the thing that brings me the most joy in my life. Its one of the only things that I know I will still be doing in 30 years.
What else would you like to say? Line Skis are one of the most legit companies out there and wouldn’t rather ski for anyone else
What’s your contact info for other Skier Union members to give you a shout? 1am_a_skier is my NS username, check my edits! also heres a link to my vimeo page http://www.vimeo.com/user2403564
The Line Skis Mountain Command Team is a mix of the most talented, unique and individual skiers in the world. How can a bunch of individuals be a team you ask? Their creativity is the bond that connects them, driving the voice of our brand and beating the drum of new ways to look at the mountain, the streets, backcountry and everywhere in between. We’re proud of these riders who every day bring something new to all aspects of skiing. Where there’s snow and enough room to slide on it, you’ll find Line MCs. Enjoy the edit and please purchase/download/watch the films in the list at the end to support the companies that support these riders and help push skiing to new levels.
Max Hill recently called out the raw skills and growing reputation of Cole Drexler on SBC Skier’s site. Not only do we get great insight into Cole’s background and how he has moved up through the ranks (with obvious help from his Afterbangs), we also get to see Max’s literary skills. Let us know if that freeskiing thing doesn’t work out for you Max, you can write for us!
But for reals Cole Drexler is legit, so pay attention.
What did these three crazy Canadians from Montreal do when they ran out of snow? They drove to Hood that’s what! In the first of three installments these guys faced an epic journey past border guards, thunderstorms, Team America and rising gas prices. Thankfully they made it to Hood where they were able to kill it in the park with Afterbangs and put the footage to tight jeans rap. Watch and you’ll understand.
Max Hill and the rest of CASG (Coal Drexler, Matt Brindisi, ect) are creative with a distinct style born from the blue ice of Ontario. Max edited and dropped the latest edition of CASG Sundays..enjoy and comment.
